In January 2017 we had great luck and could see plants of this species at the type location “Llanos de Huanta” in the Elqui valley in Chile.
The area is on private property and therefore it is difficult to go there. However the owner was very friendly and gave us the possibility, to go and see the plants.

Unfortunately we have seen neither flowers nor fruits/seeds yet. Maybe there will be another chance at a better time of the year.
